The EU-GIZ ACSE platform is pleased to allow users to visit the website and download and copy the information, documents and materials (collectively, ‘resources’) from the website for user’s personal, non-commercial use, without any right to resell, redistribute or create derivative works therefrom, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below, and also subject to more specific restrictions that may apply to specific material within this website.

The EU-GIZ ACSE Programme is a regional development initiative funded by the European Union and administered by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). The EU-GIZ Adapting to Climate Change and Sustainable Energy (ACSE) Programme – Component 1 aims to enhance sustainable livelihoods, strengthen countries’ capacities to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change and enhance their energy security at the national, provincial and local/community levels in fifteen PAC countries. All resources on this website from the Programme communications and the various national projects are subject to these terms and conditions.

Further, user acknowledges that chats, postings, conferences, emails and other communications by other users are not endorsed by the EU-GIZ ACSE platform, and such communications shall not be considered reviewed, screened, or approved by the EU-GIZ ACSE platform. The EU-GIZ ACSE platform reserves the right for any reason to remove without notice any contents of the forums received from users, including without limitation email and bulletin board postings.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  1. This Agreement will be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of Bonn, Germany. Any action to enforce this agreement shall be brought in the federal courts located in Bonn, Germany.

Preservation of Immunities

  1. Nothing herein shall constitute or be considered to be a limitation upon or a waiver of the privileges and immunities of the EU-GIZ ACSE platform, which are specifically reserved.


  1. The EU-GIZ ACSE platform reserves its exclusive right in its sole discretion to alter, limit or discontinue the site or any resources in any respect. The EU-GIZ ACSE platform shall have no obligation to take the needs of any user into consideration in connection therewith.
  2. The EU-GIZ ACSE platform reserves the right to deny in its sole discretion any user access to this website or any portion thereof without notice.
No waiver by the EU-GIZ ACSE platform of any provision of this agreement shall be binding except as set forth in a writing signed by its duly authorised representative.
